You read that right, Cacao.. not Cocoa.
A hot chocolate you can (and should) drink every. single. day.
Tis the season of colds, flus, depression, energy and vitamin d deficiency. So I took one of my favorite things (hot cocoa), and my Health Coach certification to create the most cozy, healing, soul fulfilling hot cacao out there.
Now instead of using Cocoa, we are using Cacao. Obviously both from the same plant, but cocoa (which is traditionally used in all store bought hot chocolate mixes) is stripped of most of its natural benefits, and is so overly processed. Cacao is raw, totally unprocessed, and reaping with benefits. Not to mention, packs much more of a punch of real chocolate flavor, and so very decadent.

Ingredients:
1 cup milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond)
1 Tbs raw organic cacao powder
1-2 Tbs pure maple syrup
pinch of Celtic salt (has incredible benefits also) and don't leave out the salt, it accentuates the cacao flavor
(Optional) 1 Tbs unflavored collagen peptides
(I use Vital Proteins) for even more skin, gut, and joint benefits
I top it off usually with a little homemade whipped cream, because treat yourself.
And for even more of a boost, try adding a tsp of instant coffee for a delicious mocha.
And for all my iced coffee lovers, over ice, it's still perfection in my book.
